Who Jacob Was
Jacob was my son. He was only 20 years young when he passed away unexpectedly. Losing him changed our lives forever, but the love Jake gave and the kindness he showed are still very much a part of us.
Jake had a huge heart, a great sense of humor, and a way of caring about people. He loved making people laugh, and he loved to grill. Steaks were his specialty—he took pride in making them just right. That thumbs up you see in his pictures was something he did all the time. It was simply him.
I miss my son tremendously. In the midst of this loss, I knew I wanted to create something meaningful in his name—something that reflected the kind of person he was and the kindness he showed others. Jacob's Light Memorial Foundation was born from his memory so that the love and compassion he gave during his life can continue reaching others.
"You were here, and that matters." 💙
In Jacob's Honor
Tahoe held a special place in Jake's heart. I sponsored five trees through A Living Tribute to help restore Tahoe National Forest, California, after a devastating wildfire—a living tribute to him in a place he loved.
In memory of my son Jacob, I sponsored a well through Wells of Hope International, bringing clean water to the village of Kanjaye, Malawi, Africa. This personal gift honors Jacob's life by helping meet an essential need for another community—a way for the love he had to reach others.
